1- Dietary Changes & Exercise
It’s true. The only thing that you have to do is change your diet and exercise.
It is that simple. You can stop reading now, that is everything that you have
to know.
2- Change Your Lifestyle.
If you go on a diet then you will gain all that weight back and then some.
Diets do not work. The key here is to change your lifestyle. When you change
your habits you put yourself in the positiion for long term success and maintenance.
3- Identify Your Exercise.
You might enjoy walking, so go for walks. If you like jogging, jog.
Find the exercise that you like the best and do it on a regular basis.
4- Set Realistic Goals.
Losing 2 pounds a week is healthier and realistic. This will create long
term success.
5- Avoid Trans Fats & High Fructose Corn Syrup.
There are two things going on here. One, is these are not good
for you. The second is that you will be eliminating a lot of bad foods
right off the bat.
6- Identify Your Ideal Weight.
Do a little research and find out what your ideal or target weight should
be. Go online or check with your doctor.
7- Stay Away From Ronald McDonald.
You should avoid fast food at all cost.
8- Maintain Your Priorities.
What is more important? Eating that junk food or attaining your
goal sooner. Stay focused and determined.
9- Your Fork Is Not A Shovel.
Slow down and chew your food. Your brain
does not know that it is full for 20 minutes.
10- Fiber Is Good.
High fiber food will help you to lose weight. It will also clean
out your intestines.
11- Train Wrecks Happen.
Let’s face it - one day you’re going to blow. Go out with some
friends and eat something you shouldn’t and overeat at the same
time. Don’t beat yourself up. Life doesn’t happen in a straight
line. The next day just put yourself on the right track.
12- Sugar Substitutes Are Evil.
The chemically adjusted products are bad for your weight and your
health. If in doubt, do a search for “artificial sweeteners” on the web.

Anyone who has ever gone on a diet can tell you how difficult it is to
lose weight. To complicate matters, a great deal of the time it is almost
impossible to keep it off.
It is not unfair to compare losing weight with giving up smoking. The
person who has been overweight for some time has acquired both bad eating habits
and a lifestyle not conducive to maintaining a healthy weight.
Just like smoking, over eating and eating the wrong types of food are habits
that are very difficult to break.
It is no wonder why so many people spend a great deal of their time trying
various weight loss programs and weight loss supplements.
Just like the person that is trying to give up smoking, someone that is trying
to lose weight will fare much better if they concentrate all their will and
establish a solid, unyielding goal.
It has to be, as least for the time being, the most important thing in their
life.
Once you determine what approach to weight loss you will take, it will be that
much easier to follow through if you made up your mind first. There can be
no doubt that there will be obstacles and temptations along the way. The only
way to overcome these is to have established a clear path before you begin.
Did you know that an airplane flying from New York to San Francisco is off course
over 95 percent of the time? That plane is always making slight corrections to
stay on course. The reason that it reaches its final destination is that a/ it knew
where it was going and b/ it had a plan on how to get there.
The very same thing is true when you decide to embark on a weight loss program.
First, you set your destination (your target weight).
Second, you figure out a plan in how to lose that weight.
Once you create your individual weight loss regimen, you make up your mind that
you will continue with this program until you arrive at your goal.
If you did your research correctly, you created a daily plan that you can more or
less live with for the rest of your life.
This way, the weight will stay off and your health will improve.
Keep in mind that this is not as difficult as it may appear. At various times in
our lives we have made up our minds about accomplishing various goals.
This is the same thing. You just have to want it bad enough.
